ARTISTIC IMAGINATIONS

A melody of an imagination
I made a decision
To write a composition
Consists of imagination
I needed information
As well as application
So i went for exploration

I made an introduction
I sat for evaluation
Because of my education
There was no opposition
Neither limitation

I wrote that composition
With no competition
I went through selection
of various compositions
It was just confirmation
As i had that kind of imagination

I won for a composition
As i was preparing for my graduation
I earned reputation
For the artistic imagination

Upon my composition
Of exciting expression
There was kind of celebration
With glamour decoration
As i had that expectation

So i was upon conclusion
They said congratulation
With much appreciation
This is just dedication.

I WAS AROUND...

I WAS AROUND

I want to leave both my finger and footprints
On the roads of time,know there was a thing
Meant a thing that i left behind.

When i leave this earth i will go with
No regrets,leave something to remember
Leaving a legacy so they won't forget that
I was around
I lived,i wrote,,
I was alive i worked,i loved..
I did,i have done all that i wanted although
It was not more than i thought it would be

I will leave my sign,mark,and writings so everyone
Will know that i was around ,yes just because of
My inspirations

I need to show i lived each day until
I died and know that i meant much
In someone's life,,

The mind and hearts i have touched
Will prove that i leave that i made a
Change in all possible ways i could
And people will see i was around,,,

The thing is just that i gave my all
Did my best level to bring joy,,happiness
Left this earth a little better just due to
My existance that ,,,,i was around.

Perfect Day for Two Ringed Lives

Oh, such a beautiful day

A day of remembrance, 14 June

A day where we were all looking forward and waiting for it.

And it finally comes, oh thank you Lord!

For giving us the opportunity of attending

This marriage ceremonie of sister Djalia

And her giant husband Ramadhan.

Oh sister Djalia, the bells ring

The fingers are ringed

Two lives are ringed

They become one.

Marriage is noble

This day is holy

This day of marriage joins two lives

They become one.

The vows are taken

One at a time

The two become one

One with another in spirit,

Soul and body.

This marriage is divine

Ordained by God

This marriage is a vine

Adorned in gold.

Much appreciation to our parents

Who contributed a lot in order to reach this day

Oh it is really awesome.

Sister Djalia and Rama, so you are now happy

As you always worked hard for the best. 

Juggling between two lovers

There is one thing Gloria learnt about dating more than one guy. 

When she joined campus, she fell in love with a guy who was doing his final year at campus.  He was handsome but a bit taller than her. 

However, she still liked him.  He treated her like a princess and gave her everything that she needed, although he was not working. 

After school, he got a job in one of the banks.  That meant more care because he would buy her each and every nice thing he would come across. 

She never ran out of money and their relationship was moving on smoothly.  She never found any fault with him.  

Although he was not as intimate as he was supposed to be, Gloria did not notice and would never complain.

However, in her third year, Gloria started dating another guy.  Unlike her working boyfriend, that one was very poor and jobless because they were in the same class.

Gloria started going back home with him and they would have meals together.  He even started going to her hostel and at times would sleep over.  With time, Gloria began to notice things about her boyfriend that she used not to, like his being distant.  She also started complaining that he was frequenting her place so much, a thing that would make her friend very uncomfortable.  At times he would come to visit Gloria and she would not give him anything to eat because all that was left was for Gloria’s school boyfriend. 

One day, her banker boyfriend went to visit her and the school boyfriend was in her room.  However, she was lucky that her other friends were also in the room so it was hard for the banker to know that he was her boyfriend. 

Despite all of this, Gloria never thought of walking out of the relationship because she knew that if she walked away, she would remain poor since her boyfriend did not have money.  She would get money from the other one and give it to her school boyfriend.

She though that since her rich boyfriend could not take care of her emotional needs, then she would get someone else to do it for her. 

However, Gloria realised that she was only cheating and hurting herself because she was never comfortable whenever she was with either him or her school boyfriend, thinking that one of them might find out.

Gloria finally made up her mind and decided to drop one of them.  It was the school boyfriend she dropped.  However, all that taught her that she would never date two guys at once because she cannot love them equally.  She only has one heart, that will belong to only one person, not two or more. 

The Great Escapes

We’re frightened people,

People without core or guts;

We move and act by group control;

We fear everything

With funny consequences.

Our brand of religion is a chain of scapegoats,

Through it we fear to declare,

Or discuss the movements of our humanity;

Inside us our passions work,

Our emotions have ecstasies,

And our sentiments see truth.

All visions for our common survival.

But few of us will lift voice or finger

To acknowledge the best flower,

That fruit of our living flames of life,

Hiding in the twilight inches from escapism:

            We never grow up to required maturity,

            For our eyes of depth and width,

            Though active and sharp, never see,

Or face the light: the epiphany of life and –

Meaning embodied:

            We so hide from ourselves,

            Remaining unmapped oases to ourselves

And when we die,

The utility of our bodyself

Faces the lie, the fear of our unexplored self

Once so rich in gifts of joy and discovery:

Yet all left with all energy and riches untouched.

And this is the great escape.  

Education

Father, Mother

Provide me with pen and slate

I want to learn

Land is gone

Cattle and sheep are not there

Not there any more

What’s left?  Learning, learning

Father, if you had many cattle and sheep

I would ask for a spear and shields

But now –

I don’t want a spear

I do not want a shield

I want the shield and spear of learning

Father

The war of shields and spears

Is now ended

What is left?

The battle of wits,

The battle of the mind

I, we all want to learn

We have to raise our voices higher and higher

Saying that education is life and the key for the future

Yet it is and let’s do more and more

Become better beings, educated and later at our end, leaving a legacy to empower others

Let’s make it real and perfect,

And learn.

I am vigorous and Ambitious

I wonder about my future life

I hear bees buzzing and

Also hear Qur-an

I see a beautiful black woman

Holding a flag of victory.

I want to be a real writer

I am vigorous and Ambitious.

I pretend to be an alien

I feel like I’m touching heaven

I touch my mom on her shoulder when

She is upset and try to appease her

As she did to me when I was young!

I worry about my mistakes

I cry every day when I remember the

Past but also later stop that since I know

The past is a good place to visit but

Not a good place to stay.

I dream to be able to write hundreds of

Novels in the next 10 years.

I am vigorous and Ambitious.

Spread in front of you?

The clouds are floating by

The sky is so clear and blue

Planets in their orbits

The Moon and the Sun

Such a perfect harmony.

Let’s start questioning ourselves

Isn’t this proof enough for us?

Or are we so blind to push it all aside?

Noo

We just have to open our eyes

Heart and mind.

If we look right

We’ll see the signs.

We can’t keep hiding from the truth

And let it take us by surprise.

Guide us in the best way oh God.

Guide us every single day.

Keep us close to you until

The end of time.

Look inside yourself

Such a perfect order

Hiding in your cells, running in your veins.

What about anger, love and pain

Everything that you are feeling

Can you touch them by your hand?

Are they really there?

GLOW CLUB,much appreciation

GLOW,Girls Leading Our World.this is a club that was established in 2012 in secondary schools.it was established by peace corp volunteers [PCVs] it was realy fun and fantastic i really enjoyed the time.

GLOW club was really amazing,i learned much from it,it did improve me,change my life,i appreciate that you made my life worthy looking at,you improved my country Rwanda by teaching her youth especially young girls how they preserve dignity to themselves and encouraged them to be confident,powerfull,brave,and strong in any kind of situation.

when i first engage myself in GLOW CLUB i was like i am learning principles for god living and the committed life and knowing that one time peole will stroll leisurely and discover the beauty of God's creation.
can you imagine a world in which one day in seven,peace,and harmony are so all-encompasing that even thoughts that might evoke sadness or worry are banished,oops,just all from what girls got from GLOW eperience.

many girls got many things from GLOW club I really appreciate that and for sure GLOW club founder be thankful.
in GLOW CLUB is where we see our future and that was the important to reach out that impelled me to write this article just for GLOW and if after reading it just one person rethinks his or her life and becomes a more spiritual being.

if just one person overcomes his fears,banishes,anger,and jealous from her heart ,and that she learns to appreciate the preciousness of these volunteers and improvement ,become wiser person it will be a change as it is in Rwanda.

Paradise (Women's Day)

I remember when I first saw you

I thought that God answered my call

There was one place I always thought about

and I just wanted to be there with you

Place that no bondage has ever been

place that no heart has ever passed away

place that we’ve been promised to live and forever

Best of all just me and you.

Do you Remember the whole times we have been through

and those days we used to Argue!

there was nothing that could bring us down

Because we were always working together for the Best

and to Reach that place.

You’ve been my Queen since I was one year

My dad used to cal me love and you call me princess

that was wonderful

I always wanted to be like you because you are special to me.

I admired!!

Standing for myself and Always convinced me that

“My princess, success is like a pregnancy – you will get

into worker pains of hardworking but later give birth to achievement.”

I really liked, but I know, and I knew it for sure.

Now we are Here feeling So Good

Enjoying this women’s Day ever

Forget about all bad things we went through

Knowing that God stays with us too

It is not a dream, It is so true

Feeling the Peace all around

Seeing the things you can not Imagine

Feeling the sounds, Hearing them all

and we know we will be Here forever.

Feeling the things describe this world

And knowing that this day and this place is our Reward

And for sure this is our Real day and place to

Celebrate expressing our feelings in this PARADISE.

Face Downwards

I hit the world

I cried at what I saw.

Yet My Mother suddenly smiles

full of Relief, excitement and Pride

that her baby has scored points of life

The Infant seems to know and feel

and I cried for leaving My Inner World.

A world of warmth, specials and comfort.

Where there is no work, no stress and no struggle.

But just to sail and kick at (my) leisure.

Where there is no longer or anxiety.

No Tears or Cause of Pain

No spanking and no scolding!

then suddenly I hit the world

and breathe the air that other mortals breathe

I made a long shriek of Regret.

As if fearful of this world;

A world full of bondage and Pain

A world full of lies and Intrigue

A world full of flatters

A world full of no love but HATRED!?

But later than, In My Nowadays

I found that people are the ones who have destroyed their Earth

and by then they are ones to Rebuild Earth (world);

by Removing those bondages, Pain, flattery, discrimination

and hatred, and other Related.  And as we share

the same round Moon, same bright sun,

We will also share the same love, humanity and solidarity

Because life is shorter than most had THOUGHT

Relationship

This is a very and most important thing in our life.  Now I am talking about marriage.  I am not experienced, however, I’ve tried to have private conversations with ones who have been married for years.

Marriage has never been easy

Dear Marry has been married for 6 years and has 2 children.  Her husband comes from a very big family, while Marry’s family is sizeable.  Now she has problems with her in-laws who want to come to her house anytime and however they like.  Sometimes you find over 6 people who have come visiting, and some carry children.  Her own children have become displaced in their own home, because they have to make room for visitors all the time.  She tried talking to her husband, but he said there is nothing he can do.  She decided to approach and come very close to her mother-in-law to help her in such a situation, but she became very hostile and since then Marry became her sworn enemy.  So she is always asking herself what can she do?  Coz she has no peace in her own house and to make matters worse her in-laws do not respect her.  They just say that house belongs to their son.  She is very disturbed. 

Again marriage has never been easy.  When someone said marriage is not a bed of roses she knows exactly what they are talking about.

However, that does not justify what your in-laws are doing to you.  Dealing with complicated in-laws who think they can run your house the way they fancy is not easy.  It is said “Good fences make good neighbours” – there need to be really good fences up.  Set limits about when they are and are not invited into your lives.

No divided loyalties

When you get married and start your own family the truth will be that is where your primary loyalty needs to be.  We are told once you get married your immediate family members – that is your mother, father and siblings – become your relatives.  I am sure your husband knows where his loyalty lies.  He might be having difficulty in showing it, for just being afraid of hurting one person. 

Making a deal with mother-in-law

If your mother-in-law dislikes you, what you need to do is kill her with your love and she will eventually come to appreciate you.  However, I subscribe to the school of thought that when a wife has a problem with her mom-in-law, it is the role of her son, the husband, to make peace.

Never force your spouse to take sides

So Marry, even when your husband is trying to solve this issue, never force him to take sides.  He must be fair to his relatives to respect his family and etc.  Unfortunately, some guys find themselves between a rock and a hard place when they are forced by either person to take sides.  This is the most difficult decision any person can make – choosing between the people he’s known all his life – I mean parents, siblings – and the woman he loves.  I know it hurts but never try this. 

And sisters-in-law can be very vindictive and nasty

It is therefore necessary to discuss with your partner the role that you need your sisters-in-law to have in your lives.  Never assume you are on the same page until you talk about it.  So that the two of you will be able to set boundaries for both your families without any bias, you must put your foot down and set limits with them.  Once they see you mean business, you will earn your respect.

And children should be your priority.  However much we love our visitors, it is not right that you should be shifting your children from one bed to another just to make room for visitors.  Learn to say “no” at some point in your life.  Housing visitors is very important but do not let your children suffer in your quest to please other people.

The most important thing to remember is to solve issues in your marriage between the two of you.  Get hold of your partner now and solve such issues as soon as possible before they hurt not just your relationship but your family as well.   

Never forget when I was tormented…

What’s a gloomy day when everyone was mumbling, when everyone was crying...

The day of distress, the day of sorrow…I shall never forget that day!

Never forget when I was bored, felt like a gorilla that lost its son, with loneliness and pain, when my mum was startled to death with a great confusion of how she was going to live with 13 children while she was unemployed. I shall never forget that day!

Never forget the day when I felt a kinda takeover me! Felt like am ruining my entire nation…with loneliness, pain and anxiety of being alone without my loving dad.

Never forget the day ever!

Nevertheless, I now look back when you went unexpectedly and see who I am today, and what I have become, dear dad; you would be happy and celebrating.

Never forget when mum took me to school, and the first day, I wish you were there dad…my mum took me to the new world. Am grown up, am strong, am a woman, I have a blog…I got friends and have the hope for bright future.

Never forget the power of the determined girl with hope and confidence.

Hello there, I am excited to welcome you to Smayah inspirations. In my world, we shall be discussing various topics regarding society, nature and poetry. I hope you will find it interesting enough to steer up debate and constructive arguments.

In this world full of discouragements and disappointments, this blog will focus on encouraging and inspiring posts to encourage everyone reach her or his potential.

Though some of the posts here will be about the society, but some will be about my life, experience and inspiring life I share with my friends out there.

As a young Rwanda, poetry is my interests and observing what transpires in the society is my passion. Oh I see, I am not an expert. But I always want to learn from every inspiring person I find. You believe in God? Yeah I also do. That makes us one.

Oh yeah, i believe in others, I believe in myself, I believe that everybody can be the best she/he can be if you decide to be. Of course, it comes with hard work also being patient with yourself. Give yourself time, plan, and start small.
